The FR Series Remote IO – Coupler from Flexem is a robust, EtherCAT-based communication gateway designed to connect field I/O modules to a central controller with speed, reliability, and precision. Operating at 10/100 Mbps with a maximum cable length of 100 meters, it enables seamless real-time data exchange with support for up to 1024 bytes of input and output process data. With dual RJ45 connectors, it integrates effortlessly into EtherCAT networks, while its 35mm DIN-rail mounting and compact dimensions (111×36×76 mm) ensure a space-saving, modular installation suitable for control panels and distributed systems.

Engineered for durability and industrial-grade performance, the coupler supports 9–36VDC input power and 22–28VDC field power with overcurrent and reverse polarity protection. It accommodates up to 31 extension modules, and handles a maximum 8A field power current, making it ideal for scalable, high-load applications. With galvanic isolation, IP20 protection, and an operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C, the FR Series Coupler is built to withstand demanding environments while maintaining consistent performance—an essential component for building intelligent, future-ready automation systems.
